The Blubber Blues

This blubbery blogger is feeling.....well.....blubbery. I hate to admit it, but I am in one heck of a crappy place right now. I can't stop eating left over Christmas cookies, even though I should just put them in the trash instead of treating my body as the trash can.

I just sucked down a LARGE milkshake from Chick-Fil-A, something I NEVER do, and I am feeling pretty darn blue.

Crap. Crap. Crap.

Here wagon, wagon, wagon.

yes, throw them in the trash. I ended up doing that with a lot of the treats around the house and really, no body missed them, including me.

You poor girl. That sucks. I've only been banded for 48-ish hours, so I don't have any great band-related advice for you. But I can tell you that I regularly throw away my kids' Halloween candy - which torments and taunts me from the cabinets. Once it's gone, I truly don't give it a second thought. (And the kids never ask for it, either.)

If you can bring yourself to throw the cookies away, you'll probably feel a lot better.

It's hard to get off the holiday train..I had a hard time saying "ok this is not the way I normally eat" and in the end had to throw things away to stop eating them. It is really hard but you will do it! Onward and downward..

you have to do it! You have to put them in the garbage or you will want to eat on every time you pass by them. I had to do that with my daughters halloween candy and her candy she got in her stocking, just say enough is enough and do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o)

I hope that motivated you to do it! lol.

I have covered food with salt or dish soap so I won't eat it...or send it to work with someone so their (your?) co-workers get fatter so you look even thinner...;)

Come read my post today. I get there, too...and I am asking for ideas from readers on how to combat it. Keep an eye on the comments...I bet some good ones will come in.

Protein helps me curb cravings. Also, if you are not taking it....absolutely start taking vitamin D. Liquid, if you can. Makes a ginormous difference in oveall outlook. Exercise does, too...but mustering up the motivation can be daunting sometimes.

Don't castigate yourself over anything that's been done already and don't wait till tomorrow or Monday or whenever. Remember, your body doesn't know dates or days or anything, it just knows what goes in and what goes out, so start with the next healthy bite you eat to live a healthy life.

I left the house this evening for bible study and phoned my husband while on my way.

I instructed him to throw out ALL of the "bad" foods in the house.

It felt great! :)

Fresh start in the morning.

Two thumbs up for getting rid of them...that's the only way. I realized that with me it's out of sight and out of mind. As long as its not around I wont eat it ! So that 's the way it's gotta be !!
Tmrw is another day and it will be a great one !!

We've all been there, but admitting we've done it is the best medicine.

Don't dwell on this, tomorrow is a new day. Get back on that wagon... Obe step up the ladder at a time.

I hear ya! It's tough getting back on the health wagon. You can do it! I try and drink at least 1 gigantic glass of water before I reach for the cookies. It usually works... not as fun as the cookies, but it works :)
