"SCREAM!!!!" >0

OMG.

I am a stay at home Mommy. I have two young boys. I get up with them around 7:00am and they finally fall asleep around 9:30pm. I get up anywhere between 1-4 times a night with the boys for various reasons: potty, thirsty, nightmares, sick...etc.

I do not have the luxury of coming home "from work" to relax. EVER. My job never ends.

I swear, if my husband dares to drop the "You do it, I just got home from work, I'm tired" line on me ONE MORE TIME I am going to:

a. shave off ALL his hair- ALL of it
b. draw up divorce papers
c. hit him on the head with a frying pan
or
d. blow something up

Dear GOD, help me, I think I might burst!

I hear ya. I could write this exact post except I have a boy and a girl. The ironic part is DH was a SAHD for six months before I became a SAHM. You would think he would understand, but nope. I do ten times as much as he did when he stayed home, yet he still whines. Sigh.

That is tough. I'm sorry. Sit your hubby down at a time when you aren't feeling angry and tell him how you feel. Give him some choices. Does he want to entertain the kids while you fix dinner or does he want to be in charge of bath time? Then he gets to choose what he prefers and doing nothing isn't an option. Good luck!

Amen to that! We've had it both ways; him as a sahd and now me as a sahm. I did almost everything when I worked and still do. We've had "the talk" too many times to count, I don't know what's going to finally get it into his thick skull.

DITTO! If they even had a CLUE about what we do and how often we do it... they would NEVER again say it. What is it about men who think the dirty clothes magically clean and hang themselves in the closet? Or the question "what is for dinner" definitely deserve the response "I don't know. what are you making" which I have used and ended up eating a bowl of cereal.

I at one point stopped doing things except for myself and slowly he got the point, like when he went to wash his hands and realized the soap dispenser had been empty for over a week. He trudged into the kitchen with it and said "I guess this was supposed to be a hint". I didn't say anything.

Stopped doing his laundry and when he didn't have any clean shorts, he looked around like they would magically appear around the room. I calmly handed him the laundry basket and walked out. He had clean shorts the next day.

Sorry. You got me started. Sending good thoughts your way.

STRIKE, STRIKE, STRIKE!!

Men do NOT get it. They seriously don't. Tell him to take care of his own stuff from now. He wants to eat? Than he can cook it. He wants underware for tomorrow? He can wash it, dry it, fold it and put it away. Seriously. You need to have a come to Jesus meeting with him. The sooner the better IMO!! Good luck. I know how much that stinks!!

You should shave his eyebrows. That would be funnier than the head. LOL!

My hubby and I both work, and he has a physical job but I have a "mentally draining" job and when we get home, he'll pull that "I'm tired - you do it" crap on me. Like because I work behind a desk means that I don't do crap. UGH.

I think in general, men are lazy bastards. LOL!
