We're Here to be Honest, Right?

I must confess, I am just bursting at the seams to spill all (can you sense my facetiousness ?) about my daily caloric intake. I started the day off with a bang and continued to do well until this afternoon. My two year old decided not to take a nap, so instead of laying in my bed (trying to sleep) and listening to him talk over the monitor, I decided it would be a great idea to go downstairs and eat! So guess what my food of choice was...

For some reason I chose to consume 1,200 calories worth of 100 calorie swiss chocolate rolls. Smart! I am so darn proud of myself!!! (Again, more facetiousness)

I didn't get to eat dinner, and I just went for a walk. Tomorrow is a new day and besides, all the swiss rolls have all been eaten, so I don't have to worry about them anymore. I took care of that little problem.

Don't worry or lecture please, I don't plan on having swiss rolls in the house anymore. I am such a dork!

I'm not going to lecture you, but only because I'm not speaking to you. I can't believe you didn't mention that they made swiss rolls in 100 calorie versions!

On second thought, maybe that was a favor you did me. :) Fwiw, I would've probably done the same thing you did. Those things are Satan's Little Sugar-coated Helpers, I swear.

So I join you in Dorkhood! (Maybe we can get t-shirts.)

seriously? Let it go...

I am thinking you're in some very good company. It wasn't too many weeks ago that I ate the entire box of WW carrot cakes in one evening. I have decided, that the next snack cakes, low-calorie or not, have to be locked up in a cabinet if they are to remaian in the house any longer than a few hours. If I could only get my husband to reliably dispense them, one at a time, each day...

Oh, boy. I think we've all been there before. My problem food was ice cream, those Skinny Cow Chocolate Sundae Cones. Luckily there are only 4 in the box, but at 3 points each, well you can do the math. And then there's the McDonald's drive through that my car just auto-pilots into. I'm kinda embarrassed that the drive-through people recognize me! Seriously, though, we all experience similar situations. I know that doesn't necessarily make you feel any better, but try to dwell on your awesome successes and just let the less than stellar moments go. *Hugs*

I join Cammy in admitting that my first thought here was "whoa! they make 100 calorie swiss cake rolls??"

But I've since come to my senses and join the others in saying that a) although the drug of choice may vary, we've all had to admit to the occasional overdose and b) your "moving on" attitude is exactly what the doctor ordered here.

Congrats on not beating yourself up and for pulling a Scarlet O'Hara. Tomorrow is, after all, another day.

No lecture from me...I've done the same thing with the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, cookies, etc...all too many times. :( I need to learn portion control. Just because it's there, doesn't mean I have to eat it all in one sitting. Why is it easier said than done???

The swiss rolls are wonderful- and only $1.00 a box at Wal-Mart- but if you eat the entire box, best to stay away. I had one this afternoon (they come packed 2 in a pack) but stopped with my 200 calories. I could easily eat the entire box, so I can sympathize. I have a problem with doing anything in moderation!

I just did the same thing with the box of gummy fruit snacks my MIL bought my kids. I am so glad the box is now empty so I can get on with my life!

we all have "those" days! We are human after all ;) but the good news is one bad day does not cancel out all the good ones ;)
