What's The BIG Deal?

Okay, so have you seen advertisements for Fox's new show More to Love hosted by Emme? I would love to know what all of you think about it.

Good idea? Why? Why not?

so what? the idea here is to have plus size women date plus size men?

You KNOW what the mid season twist is going to be, right? They'll bring in a half dozen size two models, and find out whether he still goes for the women he's become attached to.

I'm not a big watcher of reality TV but I'm just wondering - is it normal to publicize the heights and weights of the women competing for the bachelor? Because I just read People and there it was, for the larger women and I thought that was weird. Also, I think that American society is okay with heavy people wanting to transform themselves (like the "Biggest Loser") but the idea of loving yourself as you are, like in this show? I just don't know.

I will probably watch it, but I kinda agree with Fat Daddy. I hope it's not all episodes of them dating with plates of Oreos in plain view.

I've seen that advertisement and every single time a flash of rage goes through my body.

Not to say that i think "bigger" people shouldn't have their shot... I just think that the idea of these reality tv shows are just about exploitation. And it makes me really sad. The people who produce "The Bachelor" don't have to choose women who were ex-dallas cowboys cheerleaders... they can pick just "regular" people who are having trouble finding love --- without exploiting the fact that they are just average.

Sorry about my rant. The idea of this show has just been bothering me and I'm glad your brought it up.

p.s. i love your blog. Way to go. Good luck keeping up the good work!
